RECIPE FOR HOT PEPPER CREAM

The thought of having to smear cayenne pepper on the skin may seem overwhelming, but with this recipe, it's a wonderful experience.
Capsaicin cream, or cream which contains the active ingredient in chilli pepper is a common and widely used treatment for arthritis and is really effective. Capsaicin cream can be applied to your skin up to 4 times a day to reduce your pain throughout your day. The first few times you will probably experience a little bit of a burning sensation, but it subsides quickly. I would advise you to wear small plastic gloves when applying it on your skin, I do not do it myself but did it the first few times.

I have for a while now tried the ointment on myself and my family- and it WORKS!

Recipe:

  • 225 ml Organic grape seed oil * see info

  • 30 ml Bi wax (either in the form of beeswax plates or small beeswax pills (is a little more expensive, but melts easier)

  • 3 tablespoons cayenne pepper

  • 1 tablespoon coconut (I choose this as the cream gets a little thicker, and then it smells good)

    * Any completely neutral oil would work here, I of course use organic - and in this case grape seed oil as it is cheaper. And since it is an oil to be applied to your skin, it is good to use an oil that nourishes your skin at the same time. A good choice would also be olive oil, almond oil and jojoba oil.

This is how you do:

A pot to put a bowl in for a water bath

a spatula to stir around and to pour the cream into a small jar

You will need a large pot or other in which you can put a bowl for water bath. Make sure your work area is clean and tidy. Play some nice music, maybe a beautiful healing chant. I believe the energy we put into it gets into the cream. Have one or two beautiful small glasses standing, to put the liquid cream down in. Remember to have washed your glasses first, and then poured boiling water into them so they are bacteria free!

Add the oil, beeswax and cayenne pepper to the bowl in the water bath. The water in the deep pot should not rumble boil but simmer to boiling point. It is meant to cause the beeswax and oil to SLOWLY melt while gently mixing the cayenne pepper.

When everything is melted, pour it all into the small glass (or into small cans so you can have several small "portions" to take with you everywhere, I have done it myself. You can possibly leave a drop on a cold surface to see if you thought it would be stiff enough if you want it more stiff melt more beeswax in the mixture / or coconut.

For a stronger cream, add the cayenne pepper to the oil several days before and let it steep !.

One smart thing is - if you want the cream more creamy - then you can whip the cream after it has been in the fridge for a while, repeat the procedure several times
